This goes to show that you dont really need to have any product to advertise, you could just create a blog which would have posts that explained different types of insurance products or the difference between a short term loan or long term loan. With 150-200 words on each topic and a bit of traffic you will be surprised at how much money ya will make.

Next step is to add google analytics, i use analytics to track my search engine penetration. The aim is to have no referrals, high direct traffic and high search engine traffic. Analytics also tells ya how much time people spend on your site, it may not be completely accurate but will give you a fair idea to judge how great your content is. Then i install the google sitemaps plugin as well which will aid in the search engine crawling.

So how do i do it? firstly i searched google using its keywords tool (here) Which provides me with information on what i should be naming my posts in order to get the highest paying keywords and the keywords with the highest search volume, we aren’t just guessing on what will make us money or get hits, this shows us exactly what we should be doing. With this information i picked the title of my blog- “Uk Finance deals- Mortgages, loans,  insurance and investment deals”. This describes what the website will be about.

I uploaded wordpress then and set it up with a nice theme, i used the same wordpress theme from this site, i changed the default password to something memorable, i then  setup permalinks as this will place keywords into the links on the page.

Next step was, i went to commission junction and found an affiliate that was offering a good program, i used paydayuk loans for my first post, i went to the destination page of the link, looked up payday loans on wikipedia, i used the marketing information on the commission junction and then i sat down to write my post. The title of the post came from the google keyword tool, the title of the post has the highest search volume and then the first few words has a high paying keyword that matches the product that I’m promoting. Then i started writing, I always aim for 150 words to 200 words, then i finish the post with a square banner advert, usually 250 pixels by 250 pixels and then with a text link with some sales text underneath.This is the general process i use for writing posts.

When you have a post complete, i pull out the highest search volume keywords relating to my post from google and add the top 5 keywords as tags and categories. This helps your target your site more and be search engine rich.

So how do I promote my own sites? When aiming for finance products its quite difficult within the web as there is no established online community for webmasters promoting financial products, also promoting financial products within the UK falls under a lot of laws and regulations.

So what do you do? google is your god, use it, search google for similar sites and email the webmasters asking iof they would like to trade links? search google for blog resources or directories and submit there. Submit your articles anywhere you think finance articles will be read from. Add a comment here and i will add your link. Wordpress is excellent, it pings your blog into the blog directories automatically, so your should be able to search technorati for your post. When i create a photoshop tutorial i submit it to sites that agregate photoshop tutorials and the same with php.

You can view the website i built here- Uk finance and i will post in a week of how get on. i tend to update this kind of blog 4 times a week or every second day. your not really targeting for return users its more about driving your posts into the search engines.

• Say it will take the month of january to get my websites up that means i have 11 months left in the year to make a million. This means i will have to generate $90,909 a month
• This works out at $22,727 a week and then $3246 a day. How hard would that be?
• If we take this figure of 3246 and place this in the context of AdSense and CPM, on a previous website i generated $1.67 CPM which means it took 1000 impressions to generate $1.67.
• Therefore to calculate how much many hits we need to reach are target we multiply $3246 by 1.67 which gives us 5420.
• Since CPM is per thousand we multiply 5420 by 1000 to get 54,200,000 daily

These stats are complete estimates but will just show you what you would need to achieve o be able to generate a million in 11 months. With correct ad placement and some targeted SEO you can achieve higher CPMs of course which would make your job a lot easier. Also there is other ways to generate income from a website. For example if your site reviews DVDs, you can link these DVDs to amazon and insert your associate ID into the url to get your 5% referral fee.
